True Fate by Shayna Varadeaux

Series: True Fate #1
Publishing Date: January 6th 2014
Genre: YA, Fantasy, Romance
Amazon ~ Goodreads ~ B&N

Synopsis: Strange things have always happened to Nia, and until now she’s written them off as flukes. At nineteen she has seen her fair share of odd occurrences and just feels lucky.

When Nia unknowingly spoke a prophecy on her eighteenth birthday she freaked out her best friend, Rhea. Nia realizes she needs to find some answers. Rhea makes her promise to go and see her Great Aunt Amarie, but she isn’t sure if her crazy aunt could really help.

Nia finds herself unexpectedly drawn to a stranger and begins dreaming of people who seem to know everything about her.

They offer little in the way of information as to how and why. It all feels too real but Nia is unsure, at least until she wakes up with a trinket from the encounter.

When dreams and reality collide Nia will have to face dangers she never knew existed. Ready or not she will have to discover her True Fate.

My Rating: 4/5 stars

My Review: True Fate is the perfect combination of love and romance thrown into a strange new world. This book is filled with amazing characters that will steal your heart away!

Nia is nineteen. She is living the perfect life, with a best friend who is like her sister, a loving family, and a dream house. Life couldn't get any better for Nia, that is until she bumps into Mr.Perfect and feels an instant connection to him. What Nia doesn't know is that this new boy she met, will become her guardian, sworn to protect her. Nia is swept away when she enters a dream world where people are constantly telling her that she is special, and in danger. Can Nia really be that special?

I absolutely loved this book. Even thought it does focus on more of the love story between the characters instead of action, which is not something I read often, I really enjoyed it.
It's pretty hard not to enjoy a book with a well-rounded character like Nia. Not only is she a fun loving character, but she also has fantastic taste. In her parents dream house, her room is filled with books, and she's even read Clockwork Prince, major props for that. I love the relationship she has with her best friend Rhea and her family in the beginning of this book, I honestly couldn't describe a more perfect character. Even thought I loved Nia in the beginning, there were parts with her that I found odd, there is a part in the book where she fights with her dad, and I tried to understand what she went through, but it just seemed like shes never had a problem with her parents before and she just didn't know how to deal with it at first. Things like this made her seem like a "perfect character" but not something a real person would do.

Aaron is Mr.Perfect I mentioned before. I was pretty impressed when Nia bumped into him, and my respect just kept growing for him, especially since he doesn't drink, which is a major plus in my books (I am way too tired of books with under-age drinking). He honestly seems like the perfect guy for most girls out there, but for me he seemed a little overprotective of Nia and I don't dig the whole "It's cute when you're jealous" thing, but I feel like most girls would.

I absolutely love how the main romance isn't the only romance in this book. It seemed pretty much like every character got to be in a relationship of some sort and it just made things way more enjoyable to read, and it made things really different and exciting.

I also wanted to take some time to congratulate a specific character.
Avery - the first girl to get out of the friend zone!!!
A round of applause please!!

I definitely recommend this book to everyone, it was such a lovely story to read. You will not be dissapointed. I absolutely can't wait till the next one comes out.

Thanks so much for reading,
- Aneta
