Hello everyone. This year I've decided to update you guys with a monthly wrap-up, where I let you know everything that has been happening on Angelic Book Reviews this past month.
What Happened This Month
January has been absolutely hectic! I finished up my late exams. Since my professors at university decided to go on strike in November, a few of my classes were pushed back until mid January. I'm not sure if it was because of the strike or if it was because I was taking hard classes, but I didn't do the best this semester. I ended up getting three B's and a C. I'm sad they're not A's but it could have been much worse. Now we're starting the new semester and I'm very excited for a fresh start.

How was your January? Is everyone still sticking to their New Year's Resolutions?
What New Year's Resolutions? Lol. Jk. So far so good. A bit slow on the blog but I kinda like the pace.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic February!
Slow and steady wins the race ;) haha
DeleteAs long as you're going at your own pace and you're happy then thats all that matters. :)
Wishing you the best February too :)
Sorry your semester didn't go as well as you were hoping. I would imagine all the changes in schedule would make things harder. Here's to new beginnings!

Thanks so much Nicole.
DeleteI hope this one goes better.
Cheers!
The real question is if YOU felt like you learned something this semester. I have gotten more from some classes that I didn't get As in than I did from some that I breezed through. I bet you got some good learning done regardless of the chaos of your semester. (And you are getting some good reading done too!)
ReplyDeleteYou just made my day. Thank you.
DeleteI totally agree, the class I got a C in I actually learned so much and I still remember it clearly. Your point is 100% correct.
Thank you so much.
My January was kinda blah. I didn't make any New Year's resolutions this year. I rarely do. I'm a firm believer that if you want to do something just do it. :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! New Year's shouldn't be the only time people make goals. I try to make some all year round.
DeleteGood luck with everything. Thanks for visiting.
Don't you just love the Red Queen series?! I assume so since you gave Glass Sword 5/5 stars. I'm reading King's Cage right now!!

No way!! I'm dying to read King's Cage but I'm waiting for the library copy.
DeleteI hope you love it :)
Thanks for visiting.
what new year res? ha. I read a bunch of books in January with Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon being my favourite
ReplyDeleteI haven't read that one but I've heard so many great things. And sometimes its better not to make any haha. Hopefully February is going great for you :)
DeleteUhhh I really need to read Stalking Jack the Ripper! SOUNDS AMAZING. :O
ReplyDeleteYES!! It was absolutely amazing. I hope you love it :)
DeleteHi Aneta, I'm visiting your blog via FYAF's monthly wrap-up :) Reading your post and about me in the sidebar, I have a hunch we live in the same city! What a coincidence :P (My sister also had a hard time with the strike.)
ReplyDeleteNo way, that's so funny. It really makes me feel better that I wasn't the only one. I hope your sister still did okay. Hopefully this semester goes better for her :)
DeleteGoing on strike in the middle of a term really puts a halt on the learning process. I'd find it difficult to pick up and start again. I love your book choices to review. Resolutions? My only one is to declutter my life.
