Goodreads Review : Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.
Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.
My Rating : 5/5 stars.
My Review : The sequel to Julie Kagawa's Iron Daughter. This book definitely did not disappoint.
We left off with Meghan saving her brother, which led her to be taken as prisoner in the Winter Court. She was betrayed by the man she started to like, talk about getting your heart crushed. Not to mention, no one will believe her about the Iron Fey, and about the real danger that haunts the Nevernever. I have fallen in love with these books, and the world that they're in. The amount of detail the author has put in the writing is really incredible. It makes the words come off the page and it just makes it so easy to see it clearly in your head. I love the chemistry that the characters have together, you can tell just how they feel, yet there's a certain mystery to it. This book definitely had some heart breaking, and loving moments. Can't wait to read the next one.
