Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Series: Lux #1

I absolutely love recommending this book to people. My best friend Kelly actually recommended this book to me quite recently, and when she first told me about it, I thought it actually sounded pretty stupid. I mean aliens? That just sounds like a lame scary movie. 
But this book was actually amazing! A lot of people compared it to Twilight, and I actually thought that myself for a chapter or two, but trust me its nothing like Twilight! This book has a strong female character, and loving best friend, and of course a super sexy male character that you can't help falling in love with. I try to recommend this book to all the Fantasy fans out there! I can almost guarantee you 100% that you will fall in love with this series.

Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong

Series: Age of Legends #1

I got this book from Netgalley, and it actually doesn't come out till April of this year. But ever since I read it, I have been highly recommending it to my friends and telling them all about it and how awesome it is. This book is filled with tons of action, and even though the beginning is a little confusing, it totally makes up for it near the end. This book has twists and turns in the plot that even I didn't see coming. Its filled with really dangerous creature that were believed to be legends. I feel like everyone will like this book, because the two main characters are so relateable to everyone, not to mention they're pretty kick ass themselves.

Blood Red Road by Moira Young

Series: Dust Lands #1

I've actually only recommended this book to two people before, but they both talked to me after they read it, and they were amazed at how good it was. 

This book has a very different style of writing, but once you get used to it and you understand it then it really becomes an amazing book. There is so much world-building and character-building I was honestly amazed. I loved the main character Saba from the very beginning because of her love towards her brother and her determination and perseverance. But by the end of this book, she because an even better character, which I thought was impossible. I honestly cant name a single thing wrong with this book, other than the different style of writing which might be hard for some people to read, but I actually ended up loving it, because it signifies that this is a dystopia where people cant read and aren't intelligent in how to write.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Series: Throne of Glass #1

This book. Where to begin. So in the small writing on the cover, it says that its perfect for fans of Hunger Games and Game of Thrones. And since I am a huge fan of both, I decided to give this book a try. It has become one of my favorite books ever. Celaena Sardothien (main character) is my girl crush! I love everything about her. She is beautiful, and deadly. She is one of the most famous assassins, and she has definitely earned her tittle, she knows how to win a fight even if its her against 12 strong men. And if that wasn't enough for you, she has a soft side, she loves animals and books. And unlike all the other assassins and killers out there, she does have a conscience.

This series is filled with action, adventure, romance, and mystery. I recommend this to everyone! You will like it, I will bet you $100.

Silevethiel by Andi O'Connor

Series: Velinel Trilogy #1

This is actually another book I got from Netgalley. I requested it because the cover is just amazing! But the story inside the book is even better. I highly recommend this book to the LOTR fans out there, its fairly similar, except the fact that the elves have Lion guardians, whom they can comunicate with and get advice and/or battle alongside them. Its like having your best friend be a cuddly Lion that can kill all your enemies for you. This book actually has a fairly low rating on goodreads, and I have no clue why. There is tons of world and character building. There is lots of action and there are lions in it. I mean doesn't that sound awesome!! Well either way, I am planning on buying a copy for myself and for my friends to read.

Angelfall by Susan Ee

Series: Penryn & The End of Days #1

I wasn't sure about this book when I was first recommended it, but let me tell you, I read this book in 6 hours, without taking a bathroom break, or a food break or anything. It was that good. I could not let it out of my sight. I even think I slept with it for a night (I can't believe I'm actually telling you this).

So lately I have been obsessed with The Walking Dead, as many people out there have been! Well this is something fairly close to it, except that instead of zombies, the Earth is overrun by Angels. What you believe to be these holy creatures of goodness, are actually dangerous and manipulating. The two main characters are just perfect (except I don't like the name Penryn). Just trust me, you have to read this book and find out for yourself, but if you do read it, do it on a night where you don't have any plans, because you will be glued to this book.

This cover is amazing! I love how Perry and Aria are both on it (sadly Roar isn't on the cover, but I guess its okay). And trust me guys, this book is 100 times better than the cover. So that's definitely saying something.

But either way, the cover looks amazing! Just look at Jack and Saba! They both look bad ass, which is probably what this book is going to be!

Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead

The thing that really kills me while looking at the cover.. Sydney still has her tattoo, and it still looks gold. I really don't want to say it, and I really hope it doesn't happen, but I feel like the Alchemists might redo her tattoo. Lets have our fingers crossed that she doesn't.
Would you look at Adrian on the side, man he looks good. No wonder this cover is so amazing!

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

This cover is amazing! Just look at how its a rose and a stair case at the same time. I really appreciate such artistic covers, not only do they really interest readers but they also have such allusion to them, they're really amazing! And after reading the summary to this book, I instantly fell in love. I can't wait to read this when it comes out.

Cress by Marissa Meyer
Series: Lunar Chronicles #3

I haven't started this series yet, but I've been meaning to for a really long time. My two best friends have read the books are have instantly fallen in love with it.
I think the other two covers are really nice too, but this one is just so simple yet beautiful! I love the whole repunzel look to it, especailly with the red intwined in her hair.
I can't wait to start this series.

I can't wait for this book to come out. After reading the other two books in the series, I fell in love with the characters and the authors creative style of writing. And after the ending of the last book, I can't wait to see what happens between Saba, Jack and DeMalo. I'm hoping this series has a fantastic third book, and a fantastic ending.

Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead

The ending of the last books was such a killer! I am dying to know what happens between Adrian and Sydney, and how Sydney deals with everything, and what happens to her sister and the rest of the gang. I really don't want to spoil anything for you guys, so I won't say much. But I just have so many question after the end on the last book. Richelle is torturing us for making us wait this long!

Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne

Expected to be Published on: July 8th 2014

I've read the prequel to this book, even though it features a different main character as the original series, I instantly fell in love with the character, and the author's style of writing and how much action there is in this series. I have such high praise for this series, I just know its going to be really good! And I can't wait until this books comes out!

The Mortal Instruments was the first young adult series I ever read, and it has remained one of my favorites all this time! As sad as I am to see this series be finished, I can't wait read more about Jace and Clary, and this life changing battle that Cassy keeps talking about! I feel like I've been waiting for this book for two years... but knowing how good Cassy's writing is, its going to be so worth it! I can't wait!!

Scala by Christina Bauer

The first book in this series was amazing! I can't wait to see what happens between Myla and Lincoln, especially now that Myla has become the new Scala! She posseses crazy new powers, and like always power comes with responsibility! I can't wait to see how she deals with everything going on in her life, especially her and her new archangel father!

Avoiding Alpha by Aileen Erin

Series: Alpha Girl #2

Expected to be Published on: May 13th 2014

Tessa has recently been bit by a werewolf, and now not only is she stuck being a werewolf but she is also stuck going to a school full of them. I am really excited to see how Tessa reacts to turning into a full wolf. I can't wait to see and the awesome moments between her and Dastien, and how she fights to save her best friend Meredith. You can already tell that this books is going to be amazing!

Clockwork Princess

Ah my favorite series. Of course I wish I lived in this book. I always imagined myself as being a shadowhunter when I read the Mortal Instruments, and fighting with Isabelle and kicking some demon ass! But as much as I love the Mortal Instruments, I would prefer to live in this time period, mostly because I love the way they talk, and the way they dress. Everything just seems so fancy and perfect.
And the characters in this book, I'd do anything to live with them... but I'd probably try to steal Will and Jem away from Tessa, while trying to be Tessa's best friend.. I'm not sure how that would work.

Harry Potter
by J.K. Rowling


If you've never wished you could have been a wizard and gone to Hogwarts at some point in your life, you're crazy! I always wanted to go to Hogwarts, I always imagined I would have been Hermionie's equally nerdy best friend. When I turned 11 and I didn't get my acceptance letter I was so sad, it crushed me.
But as I was saying, I love the crazy adventures that Harry and the gang get into. How cool would it be if I was related to Harry or Hermione, or if I was even one of the Weasleys. So Amazing! 

Angelbound

I love this amazing world created by Christina. I love the idea of having Angles, Demons, Ghouls, Thrax and Quasi all together in one world. 

I would love to be an Thrax warrior, as I've said before, I would love to be a demon hunter, I just find it so cool, and since I'm athletic I think it would be the perfect thing for me. But I also wouldn't mind being a Quasi, as long as I had a cool tail like Myla, I'd want it to be something I could fight with. I mean the idea of having a dog tail or a bunny tail would be cool... but I couldn't do anything cool with it. 

Hopefully I could find a hot Thrax warrior for myself too ;)

Silevethiel

I instantly fell in love with this book! I've always wanted to be an elf ever since I watched Lord of the Rings and saw how hot Orlando Bloom looks as Legolas (Can't wait to see him in the Hobbit). But with this book I fell in love with Elves in a completely new way. Especially because they have super cool powers.

I would LOVE to be a Wood Elf, mostly because of their amazing warrior powers and the fact that they have Lions as their guardians. I am a huge animal lover, and since I'm a Leo, I absolutely love lions. So I just love the whole idea of being able to talk to one, and fighting beside one.

Throne of Glass

Who doesn't love a crazy world with Fae, Pirates, Assassin, A super hot prince, and a sexy Captain of the Royal Guard.

I have always admired Celaena Sardothien. Not only is she super duper smart, but she is probably one of the fiercest heroines out there. She can kick some major ass and kill like 12 people, and then go home and chill in bed with a good book. I'd love to live in this incredible world and be like Celaena. And it doesn't matter who she ends up choosing to be with her at the end of these books, ill take the other one. Please!!

But like I said, amazing fantasy world, and I would do anything to be a part of it.

Iron King

I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare, and living in his world with Ash and Puck would just be heaven. I absolutely love the amazing characters and the incredible adventures that they go on. Not to mention the weird creatures and the landscape is amazing! I'd love to live in the Nevernever, but I probably would need Grim to help me out, I do not want to be eaten by a Chimera or some weird horse thing. Scary!!

But seeing Oberon and Mab rule their courts would be so amazing! I love Meghan, so being a part of her group would just be so awesome... and maybe I could steal Puck away from her? Hey! He deserves a happy ending too... with me :)

Flowers in the Attic

This is a very old book. As you could probably tell by the cover. Well I'm really thankful I took a chance on this book, because even though it was really weird, it pretty much was the reason why I started reading in the first place. This book is about 4 children, 2 brothers and 2 sisters that are forced to live in an attic for a very long period of time. Like I said before, this book is pretty messed up, meaning that there is incest, grandmothers trying to poison little kids, and slutty mothers. 
For some strange reason I got really into this series (Don't ask me why, I'm kind of embarrassed.) I read this in like grade 7 or 8. And if you keep reading this post, you'll see why it got me into reading.

City of Bones

Who hasn't read this amazing series? I honestly think everyone has. Well I came across it in grade 9, when we had to do a book report, and I just so happened to do mine on Flowers in the Attic (The book above) and this girl from my class came up to me after and told me to read this book, since I didn't mind reading about brother and sister being together. At first I was like "Hell no! I don't want to read another book like that!" But I decided to start reading that summer, and I decided to take a chance on this series. I'm sure you know what happens next. I fell in love with this series by the first chapter (no joke), and I was hooked. 
After finishing this book, I entered the amazing world of Fantasy YA books, and its led me here today. I am so glad I took a chance on this series, Most because otherwise, I wouldn't have started reading, and I wouldn't have so many amazing friends that love books.

Divergent 

By Veronica Roth

After reading the Matched books by Ally Condie. I wasn't that impressed with Dystopian novels. Everyone kept telling me to read this book, but I didn't know if I would like it, and the cover wasn't that appealing to me at first. But after seeing all the amazing reviews this book got. I decided to take a chance and see how this book was. I instantly fell in love with it, and Four <3 
I am so thankful I read this book, without it, I probably wouldn't have started reading dystopian books, and I would have definitely missed out on some pretty awesome books. 
And I definitely wouldn't be as excited as I am right now for the movie to come out. Have you guys seen the trailer? It played in the theater and I screamed when it came on... I think the girl beside me almost punched me for that... 

Masque of the Red Death

I love love love this cover. When I saw it I was like "damn this looks good." But when I read the description and reviews about this book, I saw that the main character Araby, has depression and occasionally has suicidal thoughts. I was immediately turned off, I don't like reading books about characters like that, mostly because of my personal life. I wont go into detail but I used to help a few people who were depressed, and as much as I loved helping them, it definitely changed me as a person and I realized that it made me less optimistic, so I decided to leave that area of my life. 
But I read this book anyways, and ended up loving the scene and the love triangle. And as it turns out, there's not many parts where the main character is talking about her previous problems, so its pretty easy to forget because of all the action that's going on.

Obsidian

First of all, I want to thank my friend Kelly for introducing me to this series. She had to beg me to read this for a good half a year. I just didnt think it would be that good, the cover wasn't very appealing to me when I first saw it, and a book about aliens? It just seemed really weird.
But one day, I couldn't take her nagging anymore, and I decided to read it just to shut her up.
After the first chapter or two, I knew I was going to love this book. It was so gooooood!!
I am so glad I took a chance on this series, I would have definitely missed out an amazing series, and a super hot alien boyfriend. I wish I could have Daemon all to myself.
And from now on, I promise not to be speciesist (Is that even a word? Like racist but for species?) Because even weird species can turn out to be pretty hot!

Sekret

I usually don't venture outside my little circle filled with Fantasy and Dystopian books. But I decided to take a big step and read a book about Russian Spies. Why not right?
I was surprised at how much I loved this book. I didn't realize that Russian was so close to Polish (my first language). I could understand most of the words that were said in Russian. 
This book was so good, I loved the characters and the love triangle.

Clockwork Princess

I have loved Tessa since the first chapter of Clockwork Angel! I just love everything about her. She isn't described as beautiful, just an average looking girl, yet she still has the ability to attract 2 super hot shadowhunters just by her personality and intelligence. Tessa is my number one choice, because not only would I do anything to be her, but I've also taken some steps to that already, I actually own a copy of the exact clockwork angel necklace she is wearing on the cover of this book. Its my most precious thing in my life, and it was one of the reasons why i named my blog Angelic Book Reviews. I just love Tessa with all my heart!! Shes the best character I've encountered so far.

Syndey Sage

Bloodlines

Sydney is the reason why I got addicted to Vanilla Lattes. I didn't perticualrly like Sydney in Vampire Academy, but when I started reading Bloodlines, and I got to see the story from her point of view. I realized just how much me and her are alike. I love how smart she is, and on top of that, shes not just a character that uses her brain, she can also kick some ass with her awesome Magic and Alchemy skills. One thing that I love about Sydni is that she is completely oblivious to how people feel about her, like Adrian. Adrian is another huge reason why I'd want to be her. Who wouldn't was a sexy Moroi bad boy, who completely changes himself to be perfect just for you. Adrian <3

Celaena Sardothien 

Throne of Glass

Be honest here, wouldn't you want to be the greatest assassin in your country? Well Celaena is. I LOVE characters who can kick some major ass, and are super smart. Celaena is both. She has cat like reflexes, and can kill someone without them even knowing shes in the room. When Celaena isn't killing people, she spends most of her time either reading books, or with either Prince Dorian or Chaol, the Captain of the Royal Guard. Celaena is just such a well rounded character, I would love to be fearless, and intelligent like Celaena. And have two super hot guys fight over me.

Irewen Donriel

Irewen is just an amazing character, after seeing her father murdered, and being betrayed by her cousin and left in the woods to die. She still comes out fighting. This girl is not only incredibly brave, but she also has some crazy powers. The main reason why I would want to be Irewen, is because of Laegon, and Silevethiel. Laegon reminds me of a brown haired Legolas from Lord of the Rings, who wouldn't want that. And I would absolutely do anything to have Silevethiel as my Guardian. I LOVE lions, and this amazing connection that they have is something I would die for. I'm really jealous of Irewen :P

Saba 

Blood Red Road

Saba is such an incredible character. Shes a super strong fighter just like Katniss from the Hunger Games, in the same aspect where shes not scared of dying, and has amazing fighting skills. But unlike Katniss, Saba has emotions, she fights for the people she cares about, she is so strong and so determined. She will do anything to save her family and friends. Even though there's some things I don't like that she did in the books, I wouldn't mind being Saba, she has an amazing family, and loving friends. The dystopian land she lives in, is also pretty amazing! I'm sure I'd love it.

Meggie Folchart

Inkheart

Lets get this clear. I hate this series, and I hate Meggie! I honestly cant stand what she did at the end of the last book in this series. But as much as I hate her, I do admit that I'm really jealous of her and her father's power to be able to read themselves into books. I would love to be able to read myself into many of the books I read, and just live within them. Sometimes reading isn't enough!

I would love to have Meggie's power! But I don't want to be her. But I guess I would, if I was able to change the course of her actions in the books.
