Another amazing book in the Angelbound series! This is one of my favourite series and I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book, as well as the last one in the series.

We continue the story basically where Scala left off. After the death of Adair, Aldred goes straight to work to ruin the lives of Myla and Lincoln. This time, while Myla and Lincoln are out gathering evidence to send the House of Acca to prison, all their evidence is stolen and the guard killed. With Myla and Lincoln about to be sent to jail, they manage to escape with the help of Myla's dad and find themselves on Earth. Where they learn that Aldred may be trying to bring back Armageddon for good. Will they be able to clear their names and prevent Armageddon from coming back before its too late?

Being totally honest, I was really worried that this book was not going to be as good at the others in this series. I found that it started out a bit slow, and it was a bit boring in the beginning. I just couldn't read the whole thing, and kept putting the book down. It wasn't till about 60 or 70% into the book where the action and storyline really had me hooked and I just read the rest in one sitting. Usually Christina Bauer is really good with making the whole book exciting, but unfortunately this one wasn't it. 

If you have read the previous books in this series, definitely give this one a chance. Once you get past the beginning, the ending is definitely worth it. I would read the whole book over again just to get to that part.

If you haven't read the first books, I definitely recommend reading those first. This is a fantastic series for all fans of fantasy and action. Take my word for it, you will love it.

“When it comes to battle, take the offensive and never let go.” 

It felt so wonderful to dive back into the world of Angelbound. I loved the first book and I loved this book just as much. I can't wait to continue reading this series.

Being named the Great Scala comes with some new responsibilities, like moving all the souls to either heaven or hell. Yet with Lucifer's orb hidden somewhere is Purgatory, Myla doesn't have any choice where to send the souls. Just when they think they found the secret location of the orb, Adair comes back to claim her rightful title as the Great Scala and steal Lincoln back, normally she wouldn't stand a chance, but with new powers at her side, Adair is able to steal some of Myla's powers. Can Myla get her powers back, and find the orb before Purgatory is overrun by ghosts?

I cannot tell you how much I've missed Myla, she will forever be one of my favourite characters. I love how mischievous she is, but also how kindhearted and smart she tends to be. She never ceases to amaze me. 

I've definitely missed the world too! I talked about this a lot in my review of Angelbound (if you haven't read that one yet, go read it first), but I loved the world Christina created. The whole area of Purgatory with quasi, ghouls and thorax is all so clever and wonderful. But my favourite aspect of the story is when Myla's demon personalities take over, or how her tail has control of itself. Let me tell you, that if you loved those aspects too then you will definitely be not disappointed in the sequel.

What I loved most of all about this book, is the romance. One thing I hate, that's usually a pattern in YA books, is that in the second book usually the main characters get into a huge fight and rethink their whole relationship, blah blah blah, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Yet with this book, Myla and Lincoln always have each other's backs and their love only gets stronger. I was so happy to see that, it makes my ship for them even stronger!

I wish I could have given this book 5 stars, but I felt like the plot of the story was a little rushed. It seemed like something major was happening in every chapter, and before you know it you're at the end.

Overall, I still loved this story and will continue to be a huge fan of this series. I highly recommend this book to all fantasy lovers, but definitely start with the first book in the series. 
Now I'm off to read the next book, because I can't wait to get more of Myla and Lincoln.

This was a great book to bring alive the story of Jesus birth, especially for those who have heard it many times before. Although fiction, it challenges us to remember that we are not doing this on our own. There is a whole army of angels at our disposal. Thank you Jeremy for captivating my thoughts and painting such a glorious picture, not often considered when thinking of that blessed day. From the very beginning as you described the landscapes I was hooked. The details breaking out the characters and each one's place in the story are masterfully woven. The story is packed with enough intrigue, adventure, and truth to be enticing to readers of all ages, and especially the youth of today. Compared to other books I have read on the subject, this one takes the cake with its creative story-line that is jam packed with adventure, humor, and close-calls. I recommend this book to anyone that is a fan of adventure. A fresh take on the matter that is certain to wow its readers. Especially those interested in a view behind the veil that we all know exists! I loved The Battle for Christmas. Not only is it a book I’ll read again, but it’s also a book I can’t wait to share with my children and nieces and nephews. In The Battle for Christmas we get a great fantasy paired with reminders of our hope and our faith. Plus, what an adventure! I really liked Andy. He’s the type of character young readers will want to emulate, and one we’ll want our children to emulate. I think his gift is one we all struggle with and one of the most important.

My Review

"I think evil isn't so cut and dry. Sometimes it wears the face of a friend or an average person. That's what makes it so insidious." 

She was killed by a drunk driver. Sent to heaven, Grace has been given the chance to become an angel, but first she must save Camen's soul, the boy who just might be the antichrist. 
Josh was the drunk driver that killed Grace, and ultimately killed himself in the process. Sent to hell, Lucifer gives him the choice of eternal torment, or helping him turn Camden to the dark side.
Angels aren't meant to fall in love with demons, especially ones who killed them in their previous life.

Soul Crossed is a very fast and easy read. While it doesn't take much to get into the book, the book itself is very predictable.

I really wish I could have liked this book more, it definitely had the potential because the storyline is very creative. Yet I didn't like any of the characters, and I predicted everything that happened in the book.

Grace is a very sweet and pretty girl. I loved how she was so nice and helpful, but she was also very naive, and an idiot at times. She just kept making mistakes after mistakes, its like she wasn't even focused on her mission half the time, which made me really mad.
I wasn't a fan of Josh as well, he was supposed to be this tough yet broken guy because of his father, but all we hear from him is "wow it sucks I'm a demon" and "Damn I wanna do that Grace girl." His part of the book was just boring.
And the only thing I have to say about Camden was that he is super creepy!

Of course the romance in this book was insta love. And it wasn't even the cute insta love where you're rooting for the couple to be together. No, this was the - I wanna barf - type of insta love. Of course they're attracted to each other right from the beginning, and then they think they're soul mates and care more about each other than the mission they were sent on. Seriously open your eyes people, you're already dead!

Overall, it had potential, but the crappy romance and characters ruined it. If you decide to give this book a try, I hope you like it more than I did.

My Review: “Power is best held by the ones who don’t want it.” 

I am so sad that this series is now over, but I must say that End of Days was a perfect finale to an amazing series.

The story picks up right where World After left off. Penryn is reunited with Raffe and her sister Paige who is followed by her scorpions. Their goal is to find Penryn's mother, and a doctor to sew on Raffe's old wings. And of course, many obstacles fall in their path, as they try to save Earth from Uriel.

This story was the perfect mix of Angelfall and World After. It had the Penryn & Raffe connection that everyone missed, as well as the awesome action and crazy characters from the second book.

Not only do we get to see past characters like Dee and Dum, Penryn's mom and others, but we also get a few new characters that will have you wishing they were introduced in earlier books.

I don't want to write too much in my review to avoid spoilers. But honestly if you loved the first two books in the series, you will absolutely love the finale.

The grand finale of the book isn't as "grand" as I was hoping it would be, but I still love the way the author wrote it and I still found it a good overall ending, even though we were left with many unanswered questions.

In conclusion, this is a fantastic series, and a great ending to the series. If you haven't read this series yet, I'm going to find you and force you to read it, because you will love it.

My Review: 

“Temper us in fire, and we grow stronger. When we suffer, we survive.” 

I have been waiting for this book for the longest time! Now that I've read it.. I wish the wait was longer because I don't want this series to be over yet :(

The story continues as Sebastian takes revenge on the Shadowhunters by turning them into Endarkened and having brother fight against brother. With the fear of becoming one of the Endarkened, the Clave summons all Shadowhunters to Idris, leaving the world unprotected from demons. As Sebastain's army rises, the Shadowhunters have to decide whether they need to protect themselves, or fight.

I am so happy with the way this book turned out. It felt so good to have Jace and Clary be together again, especially since in the last book Jace wasn't himself. But don't get too happy! This book had so many twists and blindsides, it definitely kept me guessing whats going to happen next throughout the whole book. Never a dull moment. 

In this book, there are a lot of Emma Carstairs moments. At first I was really surprised that she was even in it, but really happy. Until I realized that she's actually in the book a lot! Don't get me wrong, I already love Emma, and I know I'm going to love the Dark Artifices, but I was still reading the Mortal Instruments, and I wanted to focus on Jace and Clary rather than Emma. It was just a little too much.

On the other hand, there was at least one reference to the Infernal Devices at least once per chapter throughout part one of the book. AND I LOVED IT. Every time they mentioned one of the characters from that series, I couldn't help but scream and fangirl a little. I feel like if you haven't read the Infernal Devices before, you'd probably find these incredibly pointless, and a little too spoilerish. It could ruin the other series for you. So I would definitely recommend reading the Infernal Devices before reading City of Heavenly Fire.

Alright, I don't want to write too much in my review, because this book was so amazing, and I don't want to ruin a single moment of it for you. But overall, this book was the perfect (second) ending to the series. The events played out beautifully, and Cassandra Clare's writing just keeps getting better and better. I highly recommend this book and this series to everyone I know.

My Review: The Aerie has fallen, but the angels haven't. Finally reunited with her family, Penryn tries to keep them safe, but it’s very difficult to do that when your little sister is a monster. 

I was amazed at how great this book was. Even without Raffee in the beginning, there was still enough action and story-line that made you want to keep reading. 

Penryn is still the same brave and fearless girl we have grown to love. In this book we definitely see a different side of her, where she is sometimes the outcast and other times a hero. Yet her love for her family and her amazing duration to survive has stayed the same. She is still as brilliant and lovable as ever. And she can still fight her way out of anything, especially now with Raffee’s sword in her hands.

We don't see much of Raffee in this book, since he believes that Penryn is dead because of the fight at the Aerie in the last book. But trust me, that wait is so worth it in the end. 
We also see little parts of Raffee's past and little parts of his POV from the first book. I'm usually not a huge fan of this but it was brilliantly written in this book. It not only gave us insight about Raffee, but it was also very interesting to read about. 

I was greatly impressed with Paige in this book. I really don't want to say anything, just so that I don't ruin the book to those who haven't read it yet. But trust me when I say you will love her.

The world building wasn't too great. We did get to know where Penryn was and we got some details about the places she stayed in a longer time, but there were many little areas of the story where I barely knew what her world looked like. It was really focused on the character and the action.

This book was honestly perfect, the only thing that I could find wrong with it, was kind of the New Moon feeling where the main guy is gone and then he comes back later in the book, and the whole world-building thing, but it wasn't too bad. You could deal with it and it’s not something that would make you stop reading. For me, it’s definitely the characters in this book that have my main focus.

Definitely recommend this book to everyone! This whole series is so fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Fantasy books.

My Review: This book was so good, that I read it in 6 hours, and didn't even leave the room to go pee!

It is the perfect combination of Fantasy and Dystopia brought to a whole new level.

Penryn Young lives with her schizophrenic mother, and sister who permanently sits in a wheelchair. In a world rules by vicious gangs in the day, and dangerous Angels at night, Penryn and her family try to find shelter. But when they walk right in the middle of an Angel battle, her sister is taken and Penryn's mission becomes to find her again, even if it means working with an Angel.

I honestly can't tell you how good this book was. I love how this post-apocalyptic world is filled with Angels instead of zombies or just people in controlled cities. It really brings Fantasy and Dystopia together, and if you're a fan of both like me, then you will die for this book! Most of the time we think of Angels being the good guys, but Susan definitely brings an edge to the Angels in this series, and it is pure perfection!

Now lets talk about the characters, Penryn has everything I love in a female character. She knows how to fight, she doesn't take crap form anyone else, and she never gives up! I absolutely loved everything about her! I know this description of the main character was short, but I really want to talk about Raffe.
OH. MY. GOD. GIRLS!!! Whoever your current book boyfriend is, you can just drop him right now (I'll probably apologize to Will Herondale later..) and feast your eyes on this beautiful creature. He is your new knight in shining armor that comes to your rescue whenever you need him! And as all the bad boys we love, he is a little cocky, and arrogant, but after you get to know him, he turns into your prince charming that shows you how much he loves you and how much he cares! And the best part is, hes half naked most of time since hes an angel, and he has Angel wings (well sort of).
Lets just say, I'm in love with this guy!

You know when you finish a really good book, and then you're sitting in your room freaking out about how much you need the sequel this very moment.. yeah that's me! This book should be ranked with City of Bones, Vampire Academy, Divergent, and all the other famous books out there! It is that good!!!

You have to read this right now, I'm not giving you a choice!
