The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

Book Three in Iron Fey Series

Goodreads Review : I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.

This time, there will be no turning back.

My Rating : 5/5 stars.

My Review : This book was truly amazing. Not a lot of books have the power to make me cry, but this one did. I love all the characters, they are just perfect. Especially Meghan, in this books she in more selfless and knows how to protect herself rather than being in need of rescue. So now not only is she smart, but also kick ass. I was so happy to see Puck and Ash getting along, I love them both. They are both so perfect. The love and action in this book just made it entertaining and thrilling throughout the whole book, I could not put it down once I got into it.
Thank you Julie!

The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

Book Two in Iron Fey Series

Goodreads Review : Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.

Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

My Rating : 5/5 stars.

My Review : The sequel to Julie Kagawa's Iron Daughter. This book definitely did not disappoint.
We left off with Meghan saving her brother, which led her to be taken as prisoner in the Winter Court. She was betrayed by the man she started to like, talk about getting your heart crushed. Not to mention, no one will believe her about the Iron Fey, and about the real danger that haunts the Nevernever.

I have fallen in love with these books, and the world that they're in. The amount of detail the author has put in the writing is really incredible. It makes the words come off the page and it just makes it so easy to see it clearly in your head. I love the chemistry that the characters have together, you can tell just how they feel, yet there's a certain mystery to it. This book definitely had some heart breaking, and loving moments. Can't wait to read the next one.

The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

Book One in the Iron Fey Series

Goodreads Review : Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil, no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

My Rating : 5/5 stars.

My Review : Meghan Chase is a normal girl. Ignored by her classmates. Ignored by her parents. The only person who really pays attention to her is her best friend Robbie. Meghan's life is pretty normal, until the day she sees a stranger watching her from a far. When she finds out her brother was taken into a mythical fairy world called the Nevernever. Desperate to find her brother, she travels with her best friend Robbie, who reveals himself to be Robin Goodfellow, also known as Puck from Shakespeare's A Mid Summer Nights Dream.
This strange new world is filled with magical creatures, strange talking cats, kings, queens, and odd fey. The adventure never ends.

This world is so beautifully written. Every description just paints a vivid picture. And the relationships between the characters are just great. I love Meghan as a character, coming into a strange world, she is scared, but quickly learns to adapt and how to deal with the tricky fey and dangerous creatures. She is smart, beautiful and charming. And lets not forget the two male characters. Puck is so protective and loving, how could you not love a guy who can make you laugh and protect you from danger at the same time. And then there's Ash. Hes the Winter Prince, strong, handsome, and intelligent. I have loved him right from the start.
This was just the perfect book, it had the perfect amount of action, love, and magic.
Beautifully written.

Rapture by Lauren Kate

Book Four in Fallen Series

Goodreads Review : The sky is dark with wings . . . .

Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.

Yet together they will face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed. And suddenly Luce knows what must happen.

For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now will be the only one that truly matters.

In the fight for Luce, who will win?

My Rating : 4/5 stars.

My Review : Finally we get to learn the truth about Daniel and Luce's past, and what the reason was behind the curse. In the last book of the Fallen series, Daniel and Luce race against time to find Lucifer and stop him, before he can erase their past and ruin everything. In order to do so, they're going to need to travel to far out places and get help from all the friends they have. This is not an easy journey, but its the only thing they can do to save their past and future.

This book was really good! I'd say it was almost better than the other books, the beginning wasn't that boring, and there was more action. I absolutely loved the ending! I did not see it coming and it was a wonderful surprise. I'm very sad the series has come to an end.

Passion by Lauren Kate

Book Three in Fallen Series

Goodreads Review : Luce would die for Daniel.

And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn't need to be that way....

Luce is certain that something - or someone - in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of thislifetime...going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel...and finally unlock the key to making their love last.

Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history. Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames...forever.

My Rating : 4/5 stars.

My Review : What an amazing book. In this book you travel with Luce as she is sent back in time to see many of her pasts with Daniel. They travel from on place to another in hopes of figuring out how her and Daniel can be together. While Luce is off on an adventure, Daniel is going after her, trying to find her and keep her safe.

This was a wonderful book, I loved reading about their pasts, it was so entertaining to see them in different eras. This book did take me a long time to read, because just like the other ones, it was quite boring but eventually it got much better.

Torment by Lauren Kate

Book Two in Fallen Series

Goodreads Review : Hell on earth.

That's what it's like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel.

It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts - immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.

At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn't told her everything. He's hiding something - something dangerous.

What if Daniel's version of the past isn't actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?

My Rating : 4/5 stars.

My Review : This is the sequel to the angel book Fallen. Luce had finally learned the truth about her and Daniel, and it put her in danger. While Daniel and Cam hunt down the outcasts, Luce is going to a new school called Shoreline. This is no normal school, it is a school for Nephilim. Half human half angel. Follow Luce and Daniels adventures, and see if they will get their future together.

My reaction with this book was the same as the last. It was amazing after the mid point of the book. Before that it was really slow.

Can't wait to read the next one.

Fallen by Lauren Kate

Book One in Fallen Series

Goodreads Review : There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce – he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret...even if it kills her.

Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, FALLEN is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.

My Rating : 4/5 stars.

My Review : Luce is sent to a boarding school, where you're not allowed to have cell phones, and there's cameras and security watching your every move. This is where Luce meets Daniel and Cam! Daniel is sexy blonde who wants nothing to do with Luce. Yet she can't stop going after him. And then there's Cam, hes a bad boy with a sweet side. People think hes dangerous. With a love triangle like this, the book was meant to be good.

I personally loved the characters, they were all pretty interesting. The only thing that was wrong with this book was that the beginning was incredibly boring. This was one of those books where you have to painfully read through the first half, and once you hit mid point in the book it turns awesome and amazing.

I would recommend this book to Teens who love Paranormal Romance and Love Triangles.

Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Book One in Hunger Games Series

Goodreads Review : Katniss, 16, takes her sister's place in the televised annual Hunger Games, competing against Peeta, the boy who gave them bread to survive after their father died. The cruel Capitol forces each of 12 districts to submit a boy and girl 12-18, to fight to the death. Only one can survive and be rewarded. President Snow manipulates behind the scenes.

My Rating : 5/5 stars.

My Review : I originally read this book like a week before the movie came out! Now how do you review a book that everyone knows about?
Well I personally loved the book and the movie equally! The book was so good, mostly because you can get inside Katniss's head and you can tell what shes thinking and feeling. There's also more detail to everything, especially her life before the hunger games. The movie was also very good, I loved seeing it come to life and actually meet my expectations. The action, the sound, the characters, they were all just perfect. I also loved how they decided to show more of the Game maker's side, and how they worked during the Hunger Games, I thought that was cool to see.
The only thing that made me mad about the difference in the movie and book was a certain character they didn't show. Madge was the initial person who gave Katniss the mockingjay pin. She is a really important character in the last book. It made me mad when they didn't add her the movie, because it means they will most likely either add her at the end, or rewrite the original ending.

Book Nine in House of Night Series

Book Eight in House of Night Series

Goodreads Review : Exonerated by the Vampyre High Council and returned to her position of High Priestess at Tulsa’s House of Night, Neferet has sworn vengeance on Zoey.  Dominion over Kalona is only one of the weapons she plans to use against Z.  But Zoey has found sanctuary on the Isle of Skye and is being groomed by Queen Sgiach to take over for her there.  Being Queen would be cool, wouldn’t it?  Why should she return to Tulsa? After losing her human consort, Heath, she will never be the same – and her relationship with her super-hot-warrior, Stark, may never be the same either…

And what about Stevie Rae and Rephaim?  The Raven Mocker refuses to be used against Stevie Rae, but what choice does he have when no one in the entire world, including Zoey, would be okay with their relationship?  Does he betray his father or his heart?

In the pulse-pounding 8th book in the bestselling House of Night series, how far will the bonds of friendship stretch and how strong are the ties that bind one girl’s heart?

My Rating : 2/5 stars.

My Review : This series was really good at the start but now i feel like its being dragged on way too long! I love all the characters, except for Zoey and Neferet! They both just make me mad and it made me start to hate them! I don't think i could continue reading this series, I'm bored with it now. Good luck to Stevie and Rephaim, I ship them.

Book Seven in House of Night Series

Goodreads Review : Y’all need to get yourselves together. Here’s a newsflash from the only High Priestess you have left at this dang school: Zoey isn’t dead. And believe me, I know dead. I’ve been there, done that and got the fricken tee-shirt.

Zoey Redbird is the youngest High Priestess in House of Night history and is the only person—vamp or fledgling—that can stop the evil Neferet from raising all kinds of immortal trouble. And she might just have a chance if she wasn’t so busy being dead.Well, dead is too strong a word. Stevie Rae knows she can bring her BFF back from her unscheduled va-cay in the Otherworld. But it’s going to take a lot more than hoping to bring Zoey back. Stevie Rae will have to give up a few secrets of her own..

My Rating : 2/5 stars.

My Review : These books are dragged on way too much! There is going to be like 15 books in this series. I understand 6 but not 15.
The books aren't even that good.
Think of something better. It's not that hard.

Tempted by P.C. Cast

Book Six in House of Night Series

Goodreads Review : So…you’d think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark’s life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break.  Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang.  Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.  Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings.  Aphrodite’s visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal.  Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn’t go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her.  Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul?  Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.

My Rating : 2/5 stars.

My Review : Of all the people who could have died in this series, they pick "that person."
WHY COULDN'T ZOEY HAVE DIED. It probably would have made the books more enjoyable tbh.
Yet another terrible book in the series.
