Goodreads Summary: In The Indigo Spell, Sydney was torn between the Alchemist way of life and what her heart and gut were telling her to do. And in one breathtaking moment that Richelle Mead fans will never forget, she made a decision that shocked even her. . . .
But the struggle isn't over for Sydney. As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once. Her sister Zoe has arrived, and while Sydney longs to grow closer to her, there's still so much she must keep secret. Working with Marcus has changed the way she views the Alchemists, and Sydney must tread a careful path as she harnesses her profound magical ability to undermine the way of life she was raised to defend. Consumed by passion and vengeance, Sydney struggles to keep her secret life under wraps as the threat of exposure—and re-education—looms larger than ever.
My Rating: 5/5 stars
My Review: AAAAHHHH!!! THE SYDRIAN FEELS!!!
Now that Sydney's sister Zoe has arrived. Things have definitely become hard to be friends with the Moroi and Dhampir. And its been especially hard for Sydney and Adrian to be together. Sydney has to be very careful with the way she acts, one little slip up and she'll be send to re-education. But when Adrian and Sydney are sent off on a dangerous mission that could change the lives of the Moroi forever, it becomes really hard to push away the feelings. Leaving Sydney in a dangerous place with the Alchemists.
I absolutely LOVED this book. Lately I've been so fed up with different series where in the later books after the couple finally get together, all they do is fight. But with this book its the complete opposite. Sydney and Adrian are absolutely perfect for each other, not only do they bring out the best in each other, but you can also tell that their love is real, and they sincerely care about each other. They're not perfect, no couple really is. But they're my kind of perfect, their love is wild and passionate, and they just fit so well together, it makes me want to cry.
And OMG ADRIAN! I missed him so much, his funny comments and just the way he shows his love. I wont ruin it for you guys, but he does something in this book that almost made me cry. It was amazing!
But don't get me wrong, this wasn't just a book about romance, there was also some pretty good action, especially near the end. What kind of a book would this be without seeing some Strigoi, having Sydney use her crazy magic skill, and Adrian saving lives with his Spirit powers. And what else could be better, than visiting old characters from the Vampire Academy to see how their lives are like.
This was perfection on perfection. I'll probably die waiting for the next book, but I have to give a huge round of applause to Richelle Mead for writing yet another book in this series, that managed to surprise me, and didnt ruin the rest of the books, like most series do.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Happy Reading :)
